A Simple Branding Checklist
When creating a brand, you should consider everything from aesthetics to logos, customer experience to social media presence and even the type of work environment you want for your staff. Branding can be difficult and extremely overwhelming at first. Essentially, branding is how your consumers will view your business. A successful brand doesn’t happen overnight and requires a smart plan. If you take the right steps to entail that your brand is unique, authentic and well-rounded, there’s no reason why your business won’t succeed. Addressing the topic of branding can be daunting, so I created a simple checklist!
Write a Mission Statement.
In other words, answer this question: what are the core values and beliefs of your brand?
Create a Brand Story.
Share your journey and how your business was born. This is a way to connect to your audience and give them a reason to support you!
Know your Audience.
Who is your business trying to reach? How do you reach them?
Brand Balance.
Find a balance between both the professional and personal sides of your brand. Learn how to deliver quality experiences while connecting to your audience through sharing the personal sides of your business.
Design your Look.
Your aesthetic should connect to your brand’s story and core values. Have fun with this part but also keep in mind that less is sometimes more!
List your brand keywords for SEO.
Make a list of keywords that your brand identifies with most that you can use throughout your website. This will allow your targeted audience to find you on Google!
Be Consistent.
It’s important that your brand stays consistent across all platforms.
